Venue Information

Rhodes Arena, located in Akron, is a premier venue known for hosting a variety of events, including sports, concerts, and community gatherings. Opened in 1990, this arena has a seating capacity of approximately 5,500 and has become a staple in the local entertainment scene. The venue is home to the University of Akron's basketball teams and regularly features events that attract both local and national audiences.

The arena's yearly schedule is packed with exciting events, ranging from NCAA basketball games to concerts by renowned artists. Ticket prices can vary significantly based on the type of event; for instance, basketball games typically range from $10 to $50, while concerts can range from $30 to over $100 depending on the artist and seating choice. Fans appreciate the venue's intimate atmosphere, which allows for an engaging experience with performers.

Positive reviews highlight the arena's excellent acoustics and sightlines, making it a favorite among both performers and attendees. With its modern amenities and commitment to providing a memorable experience, Rhodes Arena continues to be a sought-after destination for entertainment in Akron.

Seating Information

The seating arrangement at Rhodes Arena is designed to provide an optimal viewing experience for all attendees. The best sections are typically located closer to the stage or court, such as sections 101 and 102, which offer unobstructed views and an immersive experience during events. These sections are highly sought after due to their proximity to the action.

Conversely, sections located further back or at an angle may not provide the same level of engagement. For example, sections 201 and 202 can be considered less desirable due to their distance from the stage or court. However, they still offer a decent view at a more affordable price point.

Parking Information

Parking options around Rhodes Arena are plentiful, making it convenient for attendees to find suitable spaces. The best parking option is the University of Akron Parking Deck, located at 325 E Exchange St, Akron, OH 44304. This facility offers secure parking for approximately $10 per event.

In addition to the parking deck, there are several surface lots available nearby that charge similar rates. However, it is advisable to avoid street parking in the surrounding areas due to potential restrictions and limited availability during busy events. The venue's central location in Akron makes it easily accessible from major highways, further enhancing its appeal for event-goers.
